Photo Archive Of Amplifiers, Guitars, pedals and effects, and Live shows

This page is is dedicated to photos of my guitars, amplifiers, pedals, effects, gear, live shows, photo shoots, and ingrown toenails. Unfortunately, it was laborious just to get the new site templates done, and frankly, I'm exhausted. So presently, the Live Shows section is not complete. But all of my gear is done, so cut me some slack, Jack.

My Collection Of Amplifiers

I've spent years buying, selling, and collecting amplifiers that have unique qualities I find useful for my playing styles. Some have collector's value, but the reason I own each of these amps is their specific characteristics and their ability to perform in the way I need them. A few have been custom designed and built for me using my exact specifications, and some have been heavily modified. Additionally, I have production amplifiers that I liked too much to not own.

My amplifiers include three custom amplifiers from Electrosonic Amplifiers: the Fusion, the Termosonic Custom, and the Redneck.

I also have production amplifiers including an 80s Marshal JCM800, a 90s Fender Custom Shop Prosonic, a 1974 Fender Twin Reverb and a 1963 Fender Brown Deluxe. I also have a rack guitar rig I've affectionately dubbed the RatStack.

PK Guitars

The guitars I mainly use are those I've built myself. Most of the time, I build guitars to match a classic look with modern function. I use a variety of parts, paint and aging services, and types of setups. I do a lot of my own painting, all of the electronics, assembly, and setup.

You'll notice that I mostly design Telecaster-style guitars. Predominantly, that is for the sound of the Telecaster bridge pickup as well as the tonality of the guitar due to the amount of wood in its shape. However, I also love a good Strat, and have built a couple of those as well.

Each guitar has a different layout, from pickups to neck radius and profile to paint design and bridge assmeblies. Each one is truly unique and they've all been a lot of fun to build. I also take commissions from local guitarists for custom builds of their own.

Production Guitars

I have a number of production guitars as well. Most of them have been modified to better suit my needs; however, a few are still completely stock.

Around 1997, I sold all of my guitars and gear and took a break from music entirely. I consequently sold a lot of older instruments I wish I still had. Luckily, I have managed to pick up a few vintage instruments along the way since then, and have a number of great guitars to use now.

Pedals Pedals Pedals

Well, I go through pedals FAST. My tastes change quickly, and as a result, I buy and sell pedals faster than I can keep track. Recently, I rediscovered CMAT pedals, and have been careful to keep them - even when they're not currenty on my pedalboard, as I keep going back to them. They are the best boutique pedal on the market, and they're less expensive than many others out there.

But as I said, I keep swapping pedals on my live rig, so no picture I could give you here would be a 100% accurate representation. What I've done is capture my two main pedalboards with the most commonly used pedals installed on them, as well as a picture of some of my other scattered pedals which work their way on and off the boards.

Live Shows

Yeah, I play shows. My wife takes pictures. I have too many to go through, so I'll grab some random shots and throw them here. Eventually. Don't hold your breath.
